If you are a couple or individual who are keen Mountain Bikers or Hikers, we have just the accommodation for you.
Ffos-y-ffin offers a secluded, detached studio flat, set in its own garden, with stunning views down the valley. This double bed accommodation is cosy and comfortable, with its own bathroom and kitchen facilities.
With access to top MTB action, including Nant-yr-Arian and Brechfa Forest Trails, (see more below) this is an ideal base for keen bikers. You can hose down your muddy bikes at Ffos-y-ffin, and packed lunches are available on request.
Nearby Llanddewi Brefi (2 miles) Tregaron (4 miles) and Lampeter (5 miles) offer pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. In addition to MTBiking, entertainment facilities include; DVD library, table tennis and hiking and ponytrekking in the vicinity. All linen is provided. 1 well-behaved dog welcome.

Nant yr Arian

With trails heading out into the glorious scenery of the Cambrian Mountains, this is a fantastic area for those who like rugged riding. Nant-yr-Arian forest sits high on the mountains just 10 miles inland from Aberystwyth, and offers stunning high-level wilderness riding.
The three trails take in 35km of wild Welsh countryside including some of the best man-made single track in the UK.
- The Continental Tyres Syfydrin Trail combines the best of the Summit Trail, singletrack, with backcountry mountain tracks for a 35km wilderness loop.
- The 16km Summit Trail and 9km Pendam Trail use twisting all weather singletrack carved into the steep valleys and ridges of the forest to create shorter, but no less challenging route options.
Gorlech Trail

This is the first in a series of three dedicated mountain bike trails that has now opened at Brechfa Forest, near Carmarthen.
This purpose-built trail is 20km long and takes riders over a wide variety of terrain, incorporating existing forest track with sections of technical singletrack which features drops, tabletops, berms and off-camber sections that have been designed by Rowan Sorrell. The Trail takes in three challenging climbs of up to 2000m where bikers can take in the fantastic views that lie beneath, and rewards riders with plummeting descents into the Gorlech river valley.
Ystwyth Trail

34 km scenic cycleway, bridleway & footway linking Aberystwyth with Tregaron. Following the Ystwyth River for most its journey along the Ystwyth Valley, the trail winds through some of the UK's finest countryside offering breathtaking views within landscapes that dramatically change with the season of the year. www.ystwythtrail.org.uk
Rheidol Cycle Trail

A 15 mile route on scenic minor roads and specially made tracks (way marked) between Aberystwyth and Devil's Bridge.
